nichijou and dysphoria - 10/15/23

good morning, good evening, or good night depending on your timezone! i'm hanging out with my older step-sister that i rarely see. she's very funny and it's nice to see her every once in a while.

i want to get straight into it this time around. anime. everyone knows what anime is, right? it's just japanese cartoons. my favorite genre is slice-of-life, where the show depicts characters doing everyday tasks and making it entertaining or romanticizing it. my favorite animes are azumanga-daioh, pokemon (yes, it's an anime), and fruits basket. (gundam: witch from mercury gets and honorable mention. suletta mercury 4 life!!!)

the one anime i want to talk about 2day is called nichijou: my ordinary life. rings a bell? well, the song 'my ordinary life' by the living tombstone adds (unrelated) lyrics and adds a sort of phonk to one of the songs from the ost. the show features a cast of five (six including sakamoto) main characters. three schoolgirls, yuko, mio, and mai; and a robot and her creator, nano and hakase. (plus their cat, sakamoto, who can talk from a bandana hakase invented.)

the entire series is on funimation, but i watch it on plex because i'm a nasty pirate. yarg!!!

this is part one, simply because i'm going on a walk in two minutes and want to get this out anyway. see you!!!
