my return - 12/8/2023

hi! its been a while.

so where have i been? well, i had to deal with some mental health stuff for a bit. but now im back!

in school, ive been cast in the play! the play is called an absolutely true story told by lying liars. its about two parents questioning their kids and their kids friends about a broken vase. the kids come up with weirder and weirder stories about what happenes. i play memory fred, the son! there are two versions of characters. the NOW and the MEMORY. the memory ones are the ones acting IN the stories, and the now ones are the ones TELLING the stories. i get to act out stories!!

my favorite line is "video games are the only things that give me self-worth!" and then i high-five my friend.

also, ive been super duper into homestar runner lately. im feeding it so it turns into a special interest. homestar runner, if you dont know, if a web series featuring characters such as: homestar (runner). strong bad. coach z. and marzipan and pom pom and bubs and strong sad and strong mad and the cheat and the poopsmith and the king of town and so on. theyre all wonderful. my personal favorites are strong bad and coach z with homestar in a close third.

they have a bunch of merch so im asking for some this christmas and my birthday. my birthday party is next friday, actually! if you wish me happy birthday on my guestbook ill shout you out on my site.

more specifically, i want the stinkoman shirt, the strong bad talking plush, and the DELETED! keychain.

what else... umm, ive been drawing a lot lately! more than usual, i mean. specifically trying to get close to the nichijou style or homestar style or homestuck style is way harder and more frustrating than is should be!!! i have MULTIPLE guides and tutorials and tips but when i try it just looks weird. it feels like starting from scratch!!

speaking of homestuck, im working on an animation ive been wanting to make ever since i started listening to tmbg a lot more. its a rosemary animation to the song ana ng. it uses the ^2 characters, more specifically rosebot and Cooler Kanaya™.

originally, i made a sketch, made outlines, colored the outlines in, colored the outlines themselves, added accents, and it took way too long to be sustainable. now, i use a sketch and make a solid shape under the sketch. then i alpha lock it so i can color inside the shape! its much simpler and easier.
